A YEAR OF RECIPES FOR CELEBRATING THE HOLIDAYS

During our travels across some of the most captivating cities in the world, we discovered a treasure trove of holiday recipes that reflected the unique cultures and culinary traditions of each place. In the bustling markets of London, we discovered hot crossed buns at Easter. A charming Parisian brasserie  introduced us to the art of making cassoulet, a festive dish that embodied the spirit of French holiday gatherings. Each city we explored, from the historic streets of Edinburgh with its rich shortbread recipes to the vibrant atmosphere of Rome where they roasted chestnuts over an open fire, inspired our own holiday cooking traditions.

As we returned from our travels, we wanted to share these diverse holiday recipes with family and friends, bringing a piece of our journey back home. In Milan, we we learned to make panettone, a festive Italian bread that now graces our holiday table every year. A small neighborhood restaurant in Florence introduced us to the perfect ribollita, a comforting Tuscan soup that symbolizes the warmth of gathering with loved ones. We couldn’t forget the vibrant flavors of New Orleans, where the Hurricane was added to our future celebrations, while the fresh seafood of Alaska inspired us to create a holiday feast centered around seasonal catches. Each recipe we gathered serves as a delicious reminder of the places we visited and the memories we made, weaving a tapestry of flavors that enrich our holiday experiences year after year.
