Irish oatmeal is an authentic way to celebrate Saint Patrick’s day. Unlike some of the dishes that are traditionally serviced in America for this holiday, Irish oatmeal is actually from Ireland and popular there. This is the easy method of making it that makes it one of the stars of our plan to eat better and the weekly meal prep plan.
Irish Shortbread cookies are very popular in Ireland and often served at tea. The traditional shape is wedges cut from a circle and scalloped on the edges. They are called petticoat tails because the holes cut and pocked into them and the scallops make them look like lace petticoats.
Pea Pesto is not strictly an Irish recipe, however, it could be. It is perfect for St. Patrick’s Day because of the bright spring green color. Healthy, delicious, and so easy to make you will feel like you are cheating. That’s why it’s part of our plan to eat better and frequently on the the weekly meal prep plan.
