New Orleans, Louisiana. Hurricanes are a traditional drink for Mardi Gras.

Served in a very large glass, they are usually made with equal parts light rum, dark rum orange juice and passion fruit juice, with a splash of lime, enough grenadine to make it look like the sun is setting, and a maraschino cherry on top.

The rum was a craft rum that our friends make, but there are lots of aged rums that will make a killer hurricane for Mardi Gras.
